Welcome to the Arlington Million. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Arlington Million mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Arlington Million is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.
Arlington Million The Arlington Million takes place each year at Arlington Park in Chicago and is one of the richest and most famous horse races in the world. Inaugurated in 1981, this was the first race to offer a million dollar prize.
Fittingly enough, that first race was won by Bill Shoemaker, one of America's greatest ever riders. Arlington has attracted the cream of American racing ever since.
As an event this is hard to match. The grandstand is among the best in the world and the facilities are all designed with the spectators' maximum comfort in mind.
